Experience. Tiramisu is a popular Italian dessert usually made with raw eggs. However not everybody likes and feels safe eating raw eggs. I'm not the one of those people, but really wanted to try this eggless tiramisu and compare with the traditional. The other day I made Italian Tiramisu and it was delectable. This tiramisu was nice, but richer and heavier.
I had two kinds of lady fingers. This tiramisu uses large and softer ones, but I was not totally happy with the final results. The lady fingers soaked a lot, it was hard to serve it nicely. I like when tiramisu keeps the shape and the biscuits are not languid.
I made this tiramisu in a small loaf tin (1 kg).
What I would do different next time. I would not use soft lady fingers.
