Saldžiarūgštė kinietiška vištiena
Receptas adaptuotas iš Marry Berry knygos 'Mary Berry's Complete Cookbook'

Ingredientai

500 g vištienos krūtinėlės, pjaustytos 2.5 cm gabaliukais
2 šaukštai sojos padažo
1 šaukštas ryžių vyno 
250 g konservuotų ananasų, smulkintų + sultys iš skardinės
2 šaukštai kukurūzų krakmolo
3 šaukštai aliejaus
1 geltona paprika, pjaustyta gabaliukais
1 raudona paprika, pjaustyta gabaliukais
1 saliero stiebas, susmulkintas
1 svogūnas, pjaustytas gabaliukais
4 šaukštai kečupo
Druskos, pipirų pagal skonį

Gaminimo eiga
  1. Sojų padažą ir ryžių vyną sumaišykite. 
  2. Vištieną apibarstykite druska, pipirais, apliekite sojų-vyno užpilu, viską įmasažuokite. Dubenį uždenkite plėvele ir statykite į šaldytuvą bent 30 minučių.
  3. Gilioje keptuvėje įkaitinkite aliejų, sudėkite vištieną ir kepkite apie 3-4 minutes, kol apskrus. Išimkite vištieną iš keptuvės.
  4. Į tą pačią keptuvę sudėkite paprikas, svogūnus, salierą ir kepkite 5 minutes. 
  5. Atmatuokite 250 ml ananasų sulčių (jei trūksta, įpilkite vandens) ir dar 150 ml vandens. Į šį skystį sudėkite krakmolą, išmaišykite. Supilkite viską į keptuvę, įdėkite kečupą ir kaitinkite, kol padažas sutirštės apie 3-5 minutes. 
  6. Į keptuvę atgal sudėkite vištieną, ananasus. Įberkite druskos, pipirų. Dar truputį pakaitinkite.
  7. Tiekite su virtais ryžiais. 



Sweet and Sour Chinese Chicken recipe.

Sweet and Sour Chinese Chicken
Recipe adapted from Marry Berry's book 'Mary Berry's Complete Cookbook'

Ingredients

500 g chicken breasts, cut into 2.5 cm pieces
2 tbsp soya sauce
1 tbsp rice wine 
250 g canned pineapples, chopped + juice from the can
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 tbsp oil
1 yellow pepper, sliced into chunks
1 red pepper, sliced into chunks
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 onion, sliced into chunks
4 tbsp tomato ketchup 
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the soya sauce and rice wine.
  2. Season the chicken with the salt and pepper, pour the soya-rice wine sauce and mix well to coat the chicken. Cover the bowl with a cling film, pop the chicken to the fridge at least for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the oil in the deep pan, place the chicken and fry for 3-4 minutes or until crispy. Remove from the pan.
  4. To the same pan add peppers, onion, celery and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Measure 250 ml pineapple juice (if not enough, add more water) and 150 ml water. Stir in the cornstarch. Pour this to the pan, add ketchup and cook until thickened for 3-5 minutes. 
  6. Return the chicken to the pan, add pineapple. Season with salt and pepper. Heat a little bit.
  7. Serve with cooked rice.
